This is an original en plain air oil painting on panel.

The piece was painted en plein air, from near the pier at Lochranza, Isle of Arran, looking over to the Mull of Kintyre, Argyll. It is one of my favourite pieces, and reflects a time when I first started to paint en plein air in Scotland.

The original watercolour was painted en plein air in Oban, Argyll on 25 April 2011. This is a part of series of watercolours from our recent visit to Oban and the Western Isles. We had amazing weather for April and this is reflected in the colours of the sea, sky and mountains. This is an artists print in a limited edition on archival watercolour paper.
